What Is the Budget Forum?
The Budget Forum allows current Western faculty, staff, and students to comment on proposals. Proposals are submitted to the Budget Office prior to review at University Planning and Resources Council (UPRC) meetings. After the UPRC makes recommendations, proposals move to the Vice Presidents. The final proposals chosen will be open for a second comment period before being presented to the Board of Trustees. The comment period typically opens in late winter and closes in spring, but varies based on the legislative session in Olympia, dates of Board of Trustees meetings, and other internal operations.
